BIOGRAPHY
In 2015, in the north of France, a group of best friends and musicians decided to reunite around their common passion for Nu Metal and Linkin Park and created the band "METEORA: tribute to Linkin Park". They worked very hard preparing powerful and energetic shows in honor of Linkin Park, the Linkin Park fan community and for everyone who enjoys the iconic music.
The band not only gives the audience the best hits from Linkin Park, but is also always willing to share their passion and good vibes. In 2017, the world got struck with the passing of Chester Bennington. From that day on, METEORA would have a much bigger responsibility in spreading Linkin Park and Chester Bennington's message.
In 2020 during the pandemic, METEORA released an original track + music video in which they're virtually reunited with Linkin Park fans all over the world, commemorating the band they grew up with. Their track "We are soldiers" (in reference of the early Linkin Park fanbase) even reached radios like Classic 21 (BE) and was heard by Mike Shinoda himself.
METEORA has already played tons of shows since 2015 in France, Belgium, The Netherlands and more is yet to come! In 2023, METEORA recruited Lead-Vocalist Matt Se7en to the band. Matt has worked with lots of talented and inspiring musicians on Youtube such as producer DATAKEYS who worked on the Linkin Park Recharged album and MC RYU from Fort Minor and Styles of Beyond
MATT SE7EN
The Netherlands based musician Mitchell Emmen started his solo project ‘Matt Se7en’ in 2019.
Creating music with the mindset “create what you want without any restrictions or rules” is what keeps him motivated to write whatever he wants. He started his Youtube channel back in 2009 when he was still studying music.
Inspired by the late music icon Chester Bennington, he started a Youtube channel in 2009 singing many great songs from Linkin Park.
To this day, he is still recording videos for Youtube and producing original music.
Matt joined the band METEORA in July 2023.
JIA
As a musician, singer, rapper, songwriter, composer, sound engineer and record producer, Jia had many musical metal projects (ex-Betrayer The Judgement, Farewell in Vegas, Who’s On First?).
He also won prices as Composer for the short film soundtrack “Just a Breath” in 2019.
Jia wrote, composed and mixed “We Are Soldiers” during the pandemic. Like Mike Shinoda in Linkin Park, Jia sings and raps for METEORA.
ALEXIS
He founded the first Linkin Park tribute in France, called METEORA in 2015 and brought his childhood friends Jia, Julien, Victor and Thibaut along to be a part of this project (as side project to their metal band “Who’s On First?”).
He plays Bass for METEORA and is also the Manager/Booker for the band.
Alexis also organises and created the Halloween Tribute Fest, a Rock/Metal festival for tribute bands in the North of France since 2017. This festival has over 3000 people per edition.
JULIEN
Guitarist of METEORA since the creation of the band. Julien has been playing guitar for around fifteen years with his best friends. He began his musical education at the age of 8 and the saxophone at 10 and integrates several formations like woodwind orchestra, jazz band and marching band. As the guitarist for Who’s On First?, Julien composed many songs with Jia Dabright(ex: Overdose).
His first musical influences came from his father with bands such as Led Zeppelin, Supertramp and Pink Floyd. At middle school, he discovered the world of metal with Slipknot, Rage Against The Machine, Linkin Park & Rammstein.
VICTOR
Rhythm guitarist since the creation of METEORA.
He became found of metal music thanks to Slipknot's first album and Meteora album discovered at the age of 10.
Victor started playing guitar in middle school, initially attracted by the solo side of the instrument. Like his playing, his guitar collection bears witness to the diversity of his influences.
Since 2010 he has been playing in different rock/metal bands (Who’s On First?) but only with his childhood friends, still present today in this Linkin Park tribute band project.
THIBAUT
Drummer and back vocalist for METEORA since the very beginning.
Thibaut has been playing drums since he was 6 years old.
He studied for 7 years in classical music at school, 3 years at the conservatory and then 4 years at the professionnal drumming school of Lille.
His main influences are the bands Rammstein, Linkin Park, Slipknot, and Breaking Benjamin.
